Pros

The culture is amazingly fun. Everyone shares the goal of delighting the customers. Leadership makes the changes necessary to grow the company, so it isn't a stagnant environment. The work life balance is great.

Cons

Similar to mention above, leadership makes changes to teams, which can feel like frequent changes compared to experiences at larger companies that move slower. So it can be difficult to find the owner of a product. But the changes have been for the better, so worth the pain in direct requests to the right destination.

Pros

Fast paced company with great technology and great people. Excellent culture w strong down to earth leadership who seem to care about their employees success as well as the company's success. Industry leader in an exciting space with lots of future growth ahead. People work hard, most seem to enjoy the work and everyone seems to feel the company's work life balance is great. Fantastic new office on the waterfront in Seattle is an added bonus. I have been at other startups and this one is special.

Cons

Company moving so fast lots of new employees runs risk of losing strong culture over time. Growth projections are extremely aggressive but possible but can be difficult to do without changing the vibe of the company

Best culture I've experienced in 15 years of working at a variety of tech companies. Chef as a company and product is well positioned to take advantage of all the progress of the cloud and genuinely help customers move faster and operate leaner.

Cons

With a steep potential growth curve Chef will need to carefully manage employee, customer and product consistency in order to be as successful as possible.
