Pros

Community involvement Lenient on work from home once per week Minimal tuition reimbursement (nothing above average) Some coworkers are alright HR is not helpful, and flirts with the idea of being extremely unhelpful

Cons

Chesapeake recently went through a reorganization and the fallout was brutal. Management found no issue in cutting ties with employees. Not doing their best to find everyone a place within the organization. The environment is toxic when it comes to dealing with managers. You're not allowed to question things as to why they are doing them the way they are...you're just supposed to be quiet and take orders. They want to give you their knowledge and not for you to obtain any on your own time. This is standard across all departments. When the recently announced CEO came into position, it was a swift motion of the wand to put as many people out of jobs as possible. PTO is not competitive anymore...perhaps it was 10 years ago. Out of date business practices.

Pros

Good employees across all business units. Good benefits.

Cons

Horrible Management: Culture was destroyed by new leadership, new leadership laying people off and not announcing anything, great people and outstanding employees being fired, new leadership manage through retaliation and intimidation, remaining employees are terrified.
