Serving children and families is the biggest plus. Some positions seem to have autonomy. Some of the people that are committed to the cause are pretty great. Wants to do great things.

Cons

You can say you pay well all you want - it doesn't make it so. Bureaucracy. Wants to do great things but poor execution. Some leaders visionary, others not so much. Naysayers, slackers, and "status quo" people really prevent forward movement by those wanting to make things better. Too much old school micromanaging in many areas - maybe the nature of the job. Too many employees that do the bare minimum stick around. Poor performing people bring down morale and never get let go. Overworked. Underpaid. Never enough time to get everything done.

-Very friendly staff and environment -People here like to help each other up, and not tear them down -Supervisors are there to listen -They offer company retreats, Zumba, Yoga, and many other health and wellness programs. -The benefits are amazing. They offer the whole package, dental, vision, medical, and much more. -Overall good company to start your career in

Cons

-The department I currently work in is just not for me. -Although the supervisors listen, management just throws a ton of work at you and expects you to suck it up, and meet all of your impossible deadlines. -Other departments look down upon case specialists and give so much attitude. -It is hard to move up in this company, due to the biased hiring, and favoritism. -The pay is just way too low for the amount of work there is. -Case management needs a lot of help. Nobody knows what they are doing, and the policies and procedures are outdated. -Everything is too old school and manual, and the procedures are tedious, redundant, and often times unnecessary. -Case management needs to work on becoming more efficient. -The pressure management puts on case specialists to have perfect audits and perfect cases are unrealistic.
