Pros

I'm glad I chose to work at Children's. The people are friendly and are always willing to help out if I have a question. Children's is not only an enjoyable place to be, but there is the added benefit of knowing you're making a difference in the health and wellbeing of children. Some perks at Children's include flexible work arrangements (at least this is applicable to my position), wellness programs and therapy dogs, private nights at the zoo, competitive pay and leaders who are open to change and innovations.

Cons

I love this organization as a whole but I think, at the department level, our processes could use refinement. As a hospital for youth, there can be very happy days and very sad days. The sad days can weigh on you at times.

Pros

Awesome director! Great mid town location. Great benefits.

Cons

They are slow to weed out horrible managers/directors though. They do not review salaries in the market often enough. I am stuck at my current highest possible salary so I get my raise in one lump sum with 40% taken out for taxes because it is taxed as a bonus. Any company would have to do this.

Pros

Children's does an excellent job of taking care of their employees! There's also the fact that you get to work with some really awesome kids!

Cons

When a child you are close to passes away. It's heartbreaking
