Friendly environment; staff live "The Blue Kids Way" and hire to these core values. Great benefits Nursing staff is paid very well in relation to local market - nursing leadership is paid higher than average.

Cons

Not the best at growing their own talent - look externally for certain roles when it would make sense to leverage current talent and groom for next opportunity.

Pros

Excellent clinical reputation and focus on the patients and families. Top notch physicians and research faculty. Market competitive salary and benefits. Mas market dominance for now.

Cons

Despite significant Senior Leadership changes, the culture is still dominated by long tenured leaders who are opposed to new ideas and suggestions. Staff numbers are continually watched in many areas and getting additional help is difficult if not impossible which causes under-staffing and high turnover.
