Pros

Some of the best career moments of my life during the early days of Chobani. Chobani is a dream job for some people. If you are in the inner circle regardless of qualification your career is cultivated and your ideas valued and implemented. If you are not you might as well be working on the factory floor.

Cons

Some people take 6+ years to be promoted while others have been promoted several times in a short period of time with less work experience. It's all about who you know and whether you fit the archetype. Young, attractive and wealthy. No mid-year promotions due to the pandemic but that didn't include executives who were again promoted. Certain teams are experiencing mass attrition due to the lack of upward mobility for managers, senior managers and directors. People are overworked and underpaid. Not enough head count to manage the massive workload. Endless shifts in direction and lack of leadership have devolved us from a design lead business to just another poorly run CPG. Disgusted during calibration meetings when I hear the same names praised again and again. Outright failure is seen as challenging the status quo. You have ineffective teams failing year after year costing the business tens of millions of dollars yet these are the people you continue to shower with praise and promotions. Senior leadership is totally disconnected from the day-to-day business as well as the realities of raising a family on a stagnant salary during a pandemic. They fly private on the company dime to have off-sites just so they can get out of the house while the rest of us are struggling to make ends meet.

Internal corruption at its finest

Pros

The environment used to be fast paced and still has the potential to be fast paced. Exciting and challenging project opportunities. Pay is good for the area and working for Chobani is a good thing to put on your resume, this is mostly due to the great product they produce.

Cons

Beware to those not in the "in crowd". Poor management. They DO NOT empower employees to work as a team but rather fosters a co-opetition type of environment. Extreme lack of inter and intra-department communication. Team leaders and department directors will not share or distribute any work load. Do NOT question any decision making, as you will be labeled a martyr and pushed removed from employment with the company Too many departments are run by interim leadership and consultants. There is not a real desire to build long-lasting, cohesive teams. Chobani tends to care only about its external image and has not made any effort to create a excellent internal atmosphere to match their outward image and values. They care too much about status. More effort and money is spent on worrying about what "top notch" NYC office they obtain than building adequate office spaces for their administrative departments at their manufacturing sites. They have numerous employees working in cold "job trailers" for the past few years, mean while they are landing a 2.8 mil/year lease in NYC

You can find any drug there, also the management has no clue on what they are doing, safety is not the number 1 goal
