I love my job, good co-workers, nice helping patients.

Cons

Not enough training, high turnover rate in the department, managers take advantage if employees, put in departments with not enough training, have to find own coverage for PTO, unfair treatment. No recognition for hard workers.

Some of the best co workers I have ever had on 7 South. Extremely helpful and friendly PCAs. RNs treat PCAs very well. Great managers who are very supportive of staff and are extremely helpful and understanding in working around school schedules for PCAs. If you are in nursing school and want to work as a PCA to learn and get experience I highly recommend working on 7S in particular.

Often short staffed and with high acuity.
