      Great company but no job opportunities

      Pros

      You will work with people who are really passionate about art in a very laid-back environment, and if you put yourself forward you will also be given interesting and tasks of great responsibility instead of only tedious administrative duties.

      Cons

      There is no staff turnover and because of that also career prospects are extremely slow, and salaries are low. The opportunities vary from department to department based on the size of the department and the money allocated to it. This means very little or non job opportunities for some departments. Because of this also computers and other equipment are very old and need replacement, the offices are not clean, without windows, and with no space at all for objects.

      Thank you for your review, we take on board your comments; being in a listed building does present challenges, some of which we simply cannot tackle. We have, however, recently overhauled our IT Infrastructure.

      Poor management & lack of employee development

      Pros

      Good reputable company to put on the CV. Fun to be involved in the Auction, telephone bidding, etc. Like being part of a show/performance.

      Cons

      No team spirit. Most senior staff members are only looking out for themselves. No acknowledgement of job well done. No opportunities for growth & little support from managers.
