Pros

You need really to start the ball rolling as soon as you hit the ground. Teams are usually distributed, with offices around the country, so the opportunity to meet in person with your colleagues, counterparts and managers are relatively few, and one has to act fast to get visibilty. Good salary levels, poor 401k match.

Cons

There is a difference between saying you want to do things, and making them happen. Changes of strategy happen suddenly, following employees leaving or being laid off, and are not explained nor outlined. HR is a bit of a deer in the headlights. Travel budgets are undisclosed, and travel expenses inflict un-required pain.

Pros

Good company with realistic goals and expectations for sales teams. Salary is decent, due to being a Tier 2 IT consultancy. Big enough to deliver and small enough to support your needs.

Cons

Too many challenges at the leadership level. We have a revolving door of execs( 3 CEOs in 5 years) with big titles from big companies and have yet to deliver any real tangible results (revenue growth). Company is becoming top heavy. More VPs and execs then ever before and yet revenue not growing. Vast majority of managers, directors and above focused on reporting not selling or growth.

CIBER is an extroidinary Company

Pros

Mac was an exceptional CEO. Knowing him personally and seeing his concern and care to each and every employee was above and beyond! As a CEO to have this much interaction literally blew me away - he truly cares/ed. The new CEO David Peterschmidt cares less about employees and only cares about his own paycheck. He made millions to dismantle CIBER and bring the stock price up but look at the price today - he didn't do squat! (Look for yourself) He takes the fame for destroying a GREAT Company and dumping it to the International community.

Cons

The once Denver based "Corporate" Company is now diversed arcross the globe (INDIA) because of Peterschmidt. Finally the board of Directors fired him - but too little too late - he made his millions and destroyed a great Company! The Company never saw an increase of stock price because of this @ss (And now he walks away living in his million dollar mansion). The "core" employees have left CIBER and the Company will never be the same. Total shame. If you were hired under Peterschmid, his mentality remains - you have an employee number for a reason.
