Not the same company as NPD

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good product, Good penetration of clients.

Cons

This is not the same company as NPD. NOT EVEN CLOSE. NPD had a wonderful culture. The company was sold as is now owned by Private Equity. Employee benefits have been stripped, layoffs are routine, cost cutting at the expense of client satisfaction is evident. Private equity ownership merged the company with IRI and the NPD leadership and employees are being pushed out. The atmosphere has become toxic.

Amazing opportunity, technology is behind

Pros

-The potential of the combination of IRI and NPD is amazing. -A lot of really amazing people who have a lot of industry experience. -As PE owners go, I think we have a group that is driven to make this new org succeed. -Flexible life balance/work from home.

Cons

The #1 con is the terrible back-end systems that the teams have to work with. Nothing works like it is supposed to, systems are overloaded, and no one is accountable. At senior levels, the CTO can just put up a slide to show non-technical folks "we are the best" but meanwhile in the trenches we are working with overloaded systems that never work as supposed to. I have seen on the front lines how this impacts client experience and our revenue opportunities. When raised, usually the answer is that "the system was slow" and nothing is ever improved.

Thank you for providing your feedback, we appreciate it. We agree that the combination of IRI and NPD is amazing and so are the people! We also are happy to hear that you are having a good experience with our flexible work and the ability to work remotely. However, we are sorry to hear that you are having systems issues. Our focus is on continuing to improve the employee experience across all functions in the organization and we will share your feedback with our leadership team.

Layoffs

Pros

Remote work but that is changing for many teams. So far they are keeping DEI initiatives. Unlimited PTO. They have been communicating that they are reducing US headcount.

Cons

Client service off shore initiative is fully underway to move jobs out of the US. Also more hybrid office now required. Pay is low for what is required. Automation of tasks is the focus. Reduction in force for US positions underway. Many experienced and dedicated people are laid off. Conversely people are kept in spite of poor performance.
