Pros

Everyone is willing to teach, many fresh graduates are hired, open concept office so easy to approach our team manager and supervisor for advise. Good work-life balance. Can get quite busy during our peak period (1st week of every month), after that is very manageable.

Cons

Promotion from FA to Senior FA, you will be ranked together with all other applicants. Does not make sense when it is an internal promotion within your team. Shouldn't we be ranked within our team instead?

I am sorry to read this review. We feel that Citco has a lot of positives to offer their employees such as flexible work schedules, a 100% Company premium paid benefits plan, a lucrative RSP matching program, and other employee perks such as education assistance and minimum 3 weeks vacation for entry level positions. Employee's are able to apply for internal opportunities if they feel they are ready for their next career step. Compensation programs are reviewed annually and as part of a continuous assessment of our talent, entry level staff are eligible for a salary review on their 6 month and 12 month anniversaries.

I was disappointed to read your Glassdoor review. Citco reviews their salary bands annually and we ensure that we are competitive within the market. We also invest in professional development resources for our employee's. Entry level employees are part of a 2-year development plan which is comprised of up to 65 hours of classroom training plus on-the-job training as well as a company-paid certificate program through the CFA Institute. This program equips employees with the technical and soft skills needed to succeed in our industry.
