Pros

There aren’t many since last year. The pay is adequate and the paid time off is great. The hours are somewhat flexible.

Cons

Wealth management at Citizens was far from perfect but it worked in its own way. The new leaders threw gas all over the fire. It’s now completely off the rails and next year it will all blow up then they’ll be forced to rebuild it again. The new incentive compensation is difficult to understand and it seems everyone will make less.

Burnout

Pros

Good benefits, Time off, Health insurance etc.

Cons

You will burn out quickly. Management lacks. The support needed for you to flourish and do your job properly is not there. Representatives will bring things to the attention of management that negatively impact customers and it is ignored, thus leaving the reps in a bind where the customers are extremely upset and take out their frustration with the bank on the reps. This is not a good look on the company in how they treat their employees or even their customers. You would be constantly running interference for this bank. The departments do not interact with each other nor do they provide pertinent information needed to assist customers properly. The systems are antiquated and barely work. The turn over rate is the highest I’ve ever seen in a call center. They are constantly hiring and it is definitely not due to increase in portfolio. People are quitting or moving to different departments to escape.

Pros

Worked here for two years, I can barely say anything positive about this company (oh I thought hard on this one). Little to no opportunity for growth.

Cons

The leadership is extremely weak and do not communicate/update their direct reports with any clear direction, by which I mean, every single project is seriously an unorganized mess. There is no established goal, or requirements, or plans. Everybody on my team was very frustrated with the way this company treats its employees and just the way they handle things overall. During two years, I can honestly say, I have never come across ONE single interesting project where I feel fulfilled in any way, nor was my skill or expertise valued in any way. Some people working here are friendly, and that's about it. All that was needed to "do well" here is lip work. It does not matter how good you are at your actual job as long as you know how to make up stories to tell other people. Lots of BS and power games, which means you have to deal with people who overlook what you can bring to the table, but rather how good you are at faking it. If you are someone who wants to come in and collect a paycheck and go home every day, it might work out for you, but if you identify yourself as anyone else other than that, I sincerely and responsibly hope you do not get yourself involved in this company.
