Cons

Pros

The workers, ie the people who are actually working, are awesome.

Cons

Director level and up consistently make poor decisions that cost time and money. Ignorant of data driven decisions. The business acts as though they intend on selling once given FDA approval. So I a similar fashion to people who flip houses, they throw particle board over the holes in the floor and make you believe it's the new state of the art technology. Do not let the mission sway you, the leadership of Civica havn't. This seems like a hard bash, but I started early and believed in the mission. Then the work culture went super sour, each department fights the other. Then the upper management demands became more and more extreme. Work conditions always promised safety but didn't deliver. Compliance to guidelines are assumed but often skirted. I hope this place actually achieved their goal but it will not occur under the current leadership. Half of the senior leadership is there to collect a check, the other half just likes the power. Site leadership would be group managers at any other pharma company. Needless to say, be wary.

Pros

Company mission. Time off. Initial salary

Cons

Civica only hires from outside. They never promote anyone. You will get more and more responsibilities, but without any financial compensation. It’s a dead end.
