Customer Service Representative
Pros
During the summer you work a 6 hour day and are paid for the full 8 hours. 4 weeks of vacation time.
Cons
This company seems to rule by fear instead of encouragement. There is very little positive feed back but a lot of negative feedback. The system used to monitor your time is terrible. If you are on a call and it goes over your break time you are in trouble for not taking your break at the exact scheduled time, even if you were giving great customer service. It is poorly managed. The work itself is very monotonous. You make the same call over 100 times a day. Some people like this kind of work but it drove me crazy. There is no encouragement to move to other areas on the company. The Salt Lake office has two side in the office and both sides blame the other for the division. I've never worked in a work environment this negative or for a company so divided. I could only stand it 6 months then I found another job. Oh and if you are sick and you don't give them a 24 hour notice you are given an "occurrence". You have the time but you can't take it for being ill so people come to work sick and it just spreads all over the office.
