Worst company to work for. Laid off while sick in the hospital for 2 months

No pros for working for this company. Benefits are useless.

1. Do not care for employees. 2. Forced to travel during pandemic against company policy. Risked my life for nothing. 3. Health plans are terrible. You end up paying for most of your medical bills. 4. they had audacity to lay off when i was sick for over 2 months and in the hospital. I fell sick (had covid) and post covid sickness because i was FORCED To travel during pandemic even when the company wide travel was banned 5. No one even informed me about the termination. I checked email after one week after i came back from the hospital that i was laid off and lost the healthcare coverage. I got a mail in the mailbox a month later about the healthcare coverage loss and possible COBRA option. I ended up paying all the hospital bills from my pocket. 6. I was on work visa. they didn't even tell me how long i could legally stay in the country. I had to pay lawyer from my pocket to find that out. 7. Clarivate was supposed to pay for my ticket back to my country, they never even mentioned that. 8. CHEAP COMPANY, ROBOTS without EMOTION and intelligence work there. DO NOT JOIN the company. THEY DON't care if you DIE in the hospital. they will just send an email. Won't even check if you died or even try to find out.

Out of respect for privacy we do not comment on specific situations of current and former colleagues. However, the events described in this post are not a true representation. Clarivate has not required business travel during the pandemic and, to the extent possible, has allowed a great deal of flexibility to colleagues in an unprecedented situation. In addition, Clarivate has provided all colleagues with two weeks of additional paid time off specifically for any COVID related events and has let colleagues know that we will work with them on the best leave solutions if their time off needs exceed this extra COVID time provided. We seek to treat all colleagues with equal dignity and respect, and as much flexibility as possible, especially when facing challenging personal situations.

The company's focus to advancing it's own stock price

Cons

The company has had such a high level of turnover going back to the sell off from Thomson Reuters that an apathetic environment has emerged. The leaders take half measures to counter the declining culture but it often comes down without empathy to the the remaining workers as there were continued departures of their invaluable colleagues and managers. The remaining staff has turned stagnant and bitter towards the company and senior management in particular.

Great mission in concept, with deep roots to that mission

Cons

Jerre and CCC are the third owner to try and cut costs everywhere, with no re-investment. Eventually(soon) the Journal Impact Factor will be irrelevant and the house of cards will come tumbling down.
