Pros

Used to be good talent - now nothing

Cons

Where to begin... ever since the sale of the IP&S business, it's been a steady decline. Rushing to launch new systems, no training for supposed experts, outsourcing of jobs to save a buck, no regard for the talent and domain experience the company would be losing, shrinking benefits, dying morale, making the job as unpleasant as possible to avoid paying out severance, I could go on and on, but you get the point - two words - JUST DON'T

Pros

My salary was high and the company is flexible with remote work.

Cons

Everything else. Benefits were pretty bad, so be careful when negotiating salary. The company was awful. I started at this company in May 2018 and quit in June 2018. During my time there, 2 other members of my team quit, one had started at the company a week before me. Worked with the Commercial Analytics team and was expected to work basically 14+ hours a day with minimal training and support only 3 weeks in. Terrible company culture. I quit practically immediately and moved to another company.

going in the wrong direction

Pros

Cons

This company is going in the wrong direction. While it was owned by Thomson Reuters they stripped the business of as much as possible. Lessened workers, required more worker demands, reduced salaries, changed OT policy, went with cheap health care plan, changed the 401k, the list goes on and on. Onex bought the company last year but instead of investing in the business continues in cost reductions of the company. The past 2 and current heads appear to have no idea howe to run a trademark company. Decisions are based upon their own looking good and not for the company as a whole. It's tough because we used to me the diamond in the trademark research. It appears our biggest competitor is investing in their employees and their products, but ours is only focused on maximizing profits.
