There is a lot of potential in this industry in general. There is potential for interesting, impactful work.

Cons

The transition from Thomson Reuters to Clarivate has been rough. While changes and restructure were necessary to allow for product innovation, a massive new layer of management has been added that is now slowing things down again. Employees in general feel that they aren't heard, and discontinuation of programs that positively impact quality of work life have caused people to leave. They survey employees often but don't seem to take comments seriously. General personality and attitude has become rude; it has definitely become a less civil and place to work in the last year.

Pros

Flexible work environment, Good HR, good benefits. Good people.

Cons

Low salaries for high performers. Outdated tools, slow to change, cannot keep up with technology or market trends, because they don't spend money in reinvestment. Also don't spend money on resources, so high performers are rewarded with more work at same pay, leading to high burn-out rate.
