Pros

Working for Clark you have the opportunity to work on large scale and complex projects - this keeps the work challenging and interesting, which is a huge bonus. Clark does a great job of hiring people who fit the Clark culture, which creates teams with great dynamics. Regular social events both specifically for the interns, and for the company at large - great way to network and learn more.

Cons

Management can be tough on interns, maintaining high expectations. You have the potential to be overloaded with work at any time. Working in the field/sun/or without AC can be grueling.

Pigeon-holed

Pros

Clark does a good job marketing themselves to undergraduates by advertising the glamorous projects that they are involved with (and there are plenty).

Cons

It's easy to get pigeon-holed in a monotonous task (i.e. document control) for a long project. Growth potential can be really limited. Although it's a large company, once you're placed on a project site you will only be interacting with a few people. Clark is notorious for understaffing and over-working their employees. They also hire the best-and-brightest out of school, often times regardless of undergraduate experience (I once interned with an east asian studies major from Princeton), with the intention of teaching them the "Clark Way" and then burning them out.
