Great small company

Pros

Good salary and benefits. Not as good as the large publicly traded company I previously worked for, but I was miserable there. Now, I get to design and create cool stuff while working with a great engineering team that can get things done. Management style is no barriers (ie-you will talk to the CEO) with an almost flat structure.

Cons

Work can get chaotic with limited outside support. However, this is common in a small company environment.

The character and magnetism have played a significant role in building and shaping the team into the high-performing group it was.

Cons

Be prepared for a terrible work-life balance and constant micromanagement from the CEO and the management. The absurd demands and constant scrutiny from the top can lead to the demise of even the most talented employees. They were paying good money though, if you are okay with that, then you might check this company out.

Pros

None significantly to report, other than a few good colleagues here and there, but even then they all feel abused and trapped.

Cons

Management is mostly there to explain why you don't deserve to be paid for your work. You will be a worker bee, and you will not have enough time to do anything unless you sacrifice your mental health & sleep. Pay is just average at this point, you could get paid more, working LESS hours elsewhere. Overall, it was not a tolerable work environment.
