Pros
The people I get to meet on a daily basis is the reason I have stayed at this company so far. I am privileged to be welcomed into their homes and private lives in a way I never would have known them.
Cons
Let me count the ways. Started as a small startup with enthusiasm and I felt a belief there was a need being met for the hard of hearing people. The company has harmed probably more people than helped due to the complete inconsistency of working captions and technology. The seniors in need are really unable to use the telephone due to its difficult touch screen technology. There is only ONE PRODUCT after all these years. Company actually announced they diverted funds budgeted for product development to hire newly created positions of COO and East/West Division Managers. COMMISSIONS are always taken back after 3 month review of whether customer is using phone on internet connection or not. Customers pass away, move away, lose internet connections and sales commission is taken back! How DEMOTIVATING! You expect $1500 and get$200 due to clawbacks and this happens month over month. Sales spend many nights, weekends in addition to all day running events, installing new clients and trying to reconnect previous clients so not to lose the commission. Typical week is 80 plus hours and the kicker is they just took away our mileage reimbursement so what little commission is given is spent on gas and oil changes and new tires because we drive our cars to the ground. The new COO Corinne has created hostile environment.
