Pros

• People here are awesome to work with. • If you're at all wary of dude-bro tech culture, this place is a welcome relief. • People of diverse backgrounds in various levels of management • Open and colorful workplace, creative minded • Extremely family-friendly • Volunteer/travel opportunities • Generous healthcare • Excellent Work-life balance

Cons

Development pipeline is in transition from old tech systems to new ones. The company has grown significantly, so transitioning systems takes time and quite a bit of care. There are multiple dev pipelines as a result of this transition, which takes getting used to and requires a lot of communication. Rising to meet these challenges, efforts from multiple departments to improve/iterate dev pipelines, tech stack, and ux approaches are underway with enthusiastic support. The company is growing and so are its methods.

Pros

Lots of responsibilities that can help you learn about various parts of the business world. Nice people with a 'family' bond and amazing perks.

Cons

The worst of the 'boys club' mentality I've ever seen, even excluding other males who do not fit the mold. Too much emphasis on the external perks, and not enough focus on personal growth and quality of work. In my new job, I've expanded my horizons farther in the last few months than in all my time at CL. Strong, worthy employees don't need to be bribed. Perks are great and work as extra icing on the cake...but right now, that's all CL has to offer a person. Management openly acknowledges problems but does nothing to solve them. People are put in leadership positions because of tenure or favoritism, rather than merit or drive. So much potential in this company, lost just riding on the coat tails of the sales revenue.

Pros

1. Almost everybody I work with is very intelligent. A lot of very specialized people and enough of them that on a normal week nobody works even close to typical marketing/agency hours. 2. The company does a really good job of providing the tools to be successful. No quibbling about needing a computer capable of doing your job, no skimping on software that is needed, no fear of testing new tools or processes. The needless extravagance of the agency world isn't here but there are always snacks in the kitchen, plenty of company activities, and I'm not worrying about bills at the end of a pay period. 3. No time entry. 4. 100% health coverage. 5. Very relaxed. Casual dress. Plenty of perks that you can take advantage of during work hours without fearing management is keeping track of each minute spent. 6. When things get real and it is time to work some hours or get a project done, everybody is pretty cool about it and just gets it done. Not being overworked makes it a lot easier to keep a good attitude and do better work during those times. 7. People seem to really like it here, without the weird evangelist/culty rhetoric you hear from employees of new-age culture companies. Everybody just kind of does their work, hangs out, and goes home.

Cons

401k matching. Honestly, I can't really think of any cons other than that. Everywhere has things you have to work through but as far as things that make me dislike my job, not many.
