Pros

Love the remote first culture, the leadership team, and the fact they LISTEN to employee feedback. The culture is dynamic, people bleed blue (as we say internally), and there is a ton of positives on the horizon.

Cons

People work very hard here so be prepared to work.

Not what it seems

Pros

- Remote work; good setup - Nice people

Cons

- Base pay for Account Executive level is FAR below industry average and they do not provide annual increases or even adjustments due to inflation - Commission structure is not lucrative unless you crush quota which as a Market Manager is not currently possible - Poor communication from leadership - Market Managers were told they would not reduce the number of inbound leads we receive, but that has been proven 100% false. Most leads are going to the inbound team and our quota has not changed - FYI - Inbound Sales Team make much less in commission, so don't be fooled. - No equipment stipend or help; it's the only fully remote company I've come across that does not provide equipment or at least a stipend for equipment - No 401k match - They will tell you about all the opportunity for advancement, but in sales under the new sales structure, there isn't room for upward mobility

Thank you for your honest feedback. We made the structural changes to the sales team, in part, to strengthen our outbound efforts and fuel our future growth. With these updates, we believe that we’re able to offer more career tracks with varying earning potential based on the role. Structural changes can be difficult, especially at our growth rate, but we promise to listen, learn and adapt. We apologize that there was an issue with the communication and have shared your feedback with management. If you are comfortable reaching out to your People Ops contact confidentially, we would like to figure out a solution together.

Pros

Remote work, fun industry and culture, time off is valued.

Cons

Founders are still in charge of everything. There is no trust for leaders to run the company. They don't value people. Founders have their favorites and give them extra perks. There is no way this company will grow further; they are getting in their own way due to huge egos and need for control.

Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback like this. We're glad that there's aspects of the culture and remote work that you've valued, but we're sorry we've let you down in other places. Cloudbeds doesn't stand for any type of preferential treatment, so if you feel this is something you've witnessed we'd love to discuss it further. Your HR manager (or anyone on the People team) is available if you're open to having this conversation. Valuing our employees is paramount, and we welcome feedback on areas where you feel this isn't happening.
