Pros

- Passionate engineers - Free lunch - unlimited PTO - Neat good quality hardware. - Stock is doing well - Pretends they care about employees. - Decently diverse.

Cons

- Pay is trash. - CEO doesn't believe in remote work and has no idea what engineers are doing, just a mouthpiece for Frank. - Did I mention no remote work? Unless you want to be seen as lazy of course. - Spineless middle management. They'll die before they fight for a raise or a promotion for their underlings. - Good engineers quitting in droves. Those that stay either can't leave or suck and can't find better jobs. - No direction from upper management, or maybe they don't care who knows. - HR constantly lies to you. Just one of those big companies that spew Business Words in all their internal e-mails all the way up until you get fired. - No growth opportunities, but they'll pretend like there is and you can do all the work and grow into senior and staff level positions since everyone quit. No salary bump of course. - Trash tech infrastructure. Their solution is to outsource so they can pay people less, but you get what you pay for. - You get pinged all the time for something breaking, because there's nobody left to fix stuff.

Pros

Their product involves a very broad tech stack from back end programming all the way to a custom operating system ROM. You get to work with smart and very experienced people

Cons

Work life balance seemed poor for full time employees. Interns are definitely treated like interns. You don't get the feeling you're part of the team but instead are delegated random projects that might not even have anything to do with the product. I noticed after I left that people seem to be fired from this company often. Even people who are extremely intelligent and were instrumental to the company's success.

Toxic subpar leadership

Pros

* Good work life balance * Free food and drinks * If you are in a clique, have backing from your manager, or fly under the radar, you are fine

Cons

* Many leadership here seem to lack serious skills, and operate by politics. Which means it seems as though impactful work isn't rewarded, but buddies are. * Many leaders stay in their position by seemingly hogging all the keys and knowledge. * Due to the lack of skills, there's a lot of insecure leaders that resort to actions that come off as bullying, gaslighting, targeting, and other toxic behaviors * We have not seen that the leaders are held accountable for their actions, nor upholding any form of good work ethics. * Actions that look like scapegoating for their lack of judgement * Actions that look like targeting of ICs to silence them (because the ICs inadvertently stumbled into their skeletons in the closet) The problem here is that on the surface, everything seems ok and tolerable. Bullies don't bully everyone. The issue is once you are marked, you become the dog that gets kicked around by everyone (mostly leaders) with no fault of your own. If you aren't marked, its tolerable here. Don't join this company if you are soft-spoken, too nice, very skilled, and don't understand politics. You will find knives in your back, and they won't stop coming. No one will come to protect you, unless you are a leader. Leadership are protected here - to the degree in which it is abnormal compared to other places. So honestly, stay away from here
