Pros

The wages are not bad for my area and you are home every night.

Cons

You must work 2 weekends on to get the following one off , dont even try to take a weekend off as a holiday to spend time at your friends and families events like birthdays wedding etc even if it is you own daughters wedding day.

Customers before store colleagues!!!

Pros

Nothing great or even good to be mentioned.

Cons

Not enough hours provided to stores but the company expects the staffs to deliver good customer service in the midst of replenishing goods from 20 odd cages, serving in tills, maintaining store standards. Customers are always put ahead of employees; customer complaints are taken seriously even if it lacks sense. Safety of the customers is a priority; any problem in the shop floor the company will respond quickly to make sure they are not asked for compensation due to accidents, but for any issues in the warehouse, they take all their time. No safety; security guards are being removed from all stores. Security guards were put in the first place "for the safety of the staffs" but now we are just numbers to the company.

It's sad to hear you've got such a negative outlook on your time with our Co-op. Your comments on customer and colleague safety unnerve me a little, because the safety of both colleagues and customers is very important to everyone at Co-op. It's what we spend a lot of time and effort on protecting, from the Support Centre to stores, depots and Funeral Homes. On your comments about management autonomy, I agree - Managers should be empowered to make decisions for themselves and our colleagues in Co-op Digital are working to make this easier. ^Jordan
