Pros

You can work with great teams and get great customers. The people on the ground appreciate the hard work the you put in nd the results that you get from that hard work.

Cons

You have to be willing to give a majority of you time to work, and then some. Targets are unreachable with the hours/equipment you are provided with. And when you don't meet the standards set by the people in the cushy office you are reprimanded and told to do better. Which isn't possible when working from 6am till 11pm and don't have anymore hours to get people into work.

Hell, thankyou for your comment. I'm sorry to hear that you feel like there isn't enough support given to you, I hope you raise your concerns with your manager. We are all here to work together for the future success of the Co-op and that includes your colleagues who work hard at the support centre. ^Catherine

Pros

Flexibility in regard to hours Lots of overtime available Good amount of breaks Different jobs within the store to break up monotony

Cons

Low wage Overworked constantly - often found myself skipping breaks to finish tasks on time Certain staff treated differently as to their availability - some allowed set hours whilst others needed full availability

Pros

Very few pros except that you get a few discounts on Co-op food and other areas. The Angel square building is nice but the CIS Tower had mice.

Cons

This was by far the biggest career mistake I have ever made. I left a job to come to Co-op, however the practices that went on were so shocking that I would rather be unemployed than continue to work there. Firstly, the building was beyond repair (CIS tower) and should be demolished. There were mice, broken furniture everywhere and unsanitary conditions - no kitchen sinks so people used to leave sponges in the toilets and wash their mugs, plates, etc there. Secondly, however much the Co-op wants to say it's changed and is 'back to being co-op' it simply hasn't. The culture was shocking; people being wrongly dismissed, illegal practices, contractors being kept on for 3 - 4 years at a time on obscene day rates yet being asked to interview their permanent replacements (is it any surprise they delay filling these roles as much as possible?). Thirdly, the systems are so appalling that customer data is routinely at risk, so much so that I have ceased even being a customer of Co-op. I was advised by a few people (including ex employees and recruiters) not to move to the co-op and I ignored them, I really wish I hadn't made that mistake.
