      Pros

      Have to be store specific here as I know every store is different but from my experience I started as a part time CTM and within 11 month got promoted to team leader. I think there is a lot of progression within the coop, much more than my previous roles in fashion retail.

      Cons

      Shift patterns are all over the show, can be understaffed at times and expected to work miracles at times! Employing external managers seems like a great idea to the company to bring in new ideas etc... But I think the best idea would be to encourage CTM's and team leaders to strive for promotions instead of outsourcing.

      This job was great. I got to fill bags and scan stuff every day and then once I got a promotion so I made 50p more an hour. Then I left

      Cons

      Customers kept looking at you like you were something stuck to their shoe. Not like a dog poo though

      Thankyou for your review, it's great to hear you enjoyed what you did everyday when at the Co-op. Regarding pay, we signed a two-year pay deal last year which means that 40,000 colleagues in food stores will receive a pay rise of 8.5% by the end of October 2016. This increase takes the pay above the national living wage.

      Nice colleagues and customers and also get 10% discount.

      I don't have fixed days that i was working so it was hard to make plans

      Thankyou for your review. It's lovely to hear that you are enjoying your time at the Co-op. Don't forget about Double Discount days every pay day weekend, bump that 10% up to 20%. If you have preferred days you would like to work do speak to your manager about this they should try to accommodate requests as much as possible when managing the rota.
