Pros

Flexibility in schedule. Pay is decent for the area but not for the job you are doing. Benefits aren't the best but they could be worse.

Cons

Management is cold, no support, and horrible communication skills. They care about the budget and how much money you are bringing in than you.

Not a great experience

Pros

Case management was somewhat flexible. I enjoyed working with many of my clients.

Cons

Management does not care about case managers. They are asked to transport potentially dangerous clients and travel in bad neighborhoods with no way to protect themselves. The agency is focused on their image and protecting themselves from lawsuits and do not back their employees.

Pros

-May look good on a resume - May be able to make a difference in some people's lives -pays more than minimum wage

Cons

I'll start by saying it isn't the safest job, and you are not compensated properly for what you do. It is a non profit but i don't feel the clients are the first priority. The people who take care of clients are over worked and single staffed in most cases. You do get paid time off but getting the time off is extremely difficult. I was also told before i left that if i gave a whole months noticed that i would receive my paid time off on my last paycheck. I found out this was not true and I was lied to in order for them to have me work 2 additional weeks which i could have spent at the new job i had. I feel that facilities are also doing the clients more harm than good. With better training more staff the living situation for the clients could be immensely improved.
