Pros

Fair pay and good benefits

Cons

They hire unskilled, unexperienced family members and friends. Most of these individuals spend most of the day shopping online, visiting with friends and family, watching novellas on company computer and just goofing off. The good employees are expected to work all day, non-stop. Middle management also lacks the proper skills and experience and favor their friends and family. Management doesn't care.

Pros

Easy hours, lots of people were coming in at 10 and leaving at 4 SoCal is nice, and a few "brave" folks leave for lunch (most people were eating alone or in their car - yikes). Informal environment, no one here is stressing over hitting any goals here.

Cons

Massive let down from a company that has so much potential... IT and databases from the 1990s hamper execution of almost every project. Surprisingly close-minded administrative team. Ideas are shot down and feared, and instead focus is on keeping things within what's possible (see first point on limited IT) Personally my role had zero structure and did not have any meetings with my boss, ever, despite frequent requests to inquire what exactly my role/expectations were.

Pros

Some really smart and good people work here. Company quarterly lunches are also a plus.

Cons

Management and leadership is poor and no room for growth. Problems are often solved by trying to throw money at it to go away only compounding the problem. Bad coding practices and refusal to fix root cause problems. If you want work a rounds, inefficiencies, and finger pointing this is the environment for you. Constant conflicting and contradicting values and practices are often in play. Pay raises are in the range of 2% - 3% and bonus ranging $200 - $400 for top performers. Often times you hear management preaching do more with less but bashing employees and managers for not putting in a minimum of 40+hrs a week. This is their idea of do more with less. They will not hire more people but expect employees to work 40+hrs. There is also a high rate of turnover and major key players in the industry leaving to join competitors. They also keep close tabs on their salary employees by walking the floor to see when they come into/out of the office to ensure 40+hrs are met.
