Pros

None. Leadership is grossly inadequate.

Cons

Upper management is constantly pressuring us to do anything to push unwanted products to the same customers week after week. Most customers are waiting for their contracts to end with Comcast Business because they are so unhappy with the service, cost, and billing issues. I’m trying to sell more products/services to an already very unsatisfied customer base and mean while upper management spews out the most ridiculous sales tactics. When asked if they can demonstrate these life altering sales techniques on a deal, they fumble the ball! The obvious solution is to keep your customers happy so they are receptive to the upgrades we offer!

Pros

Great benefits, PTO, sick time, health, dental, 401k match, ESPP, tuition reimbursement. mainly decent/good managers and fair stack ranking evaluation of performance.

Cons

Strict schedule of clock in clock out and specific time to be inbound to take calls, not a lot of flexibility with daily schedule despite being virtual. Company values do not align with company policies. Offshoring of basic jobs that support sales is causing changes in culture and making sales jobs more difficult. Broken systems and a terrible phone tree cause frustration and customer resentments. Even if you do everything right you’ll deal with angry customers daily. Employees are treated well by the company and customers are given a huge hassle if they want/need support.

Pros

Great pay & benefits, plenty of recognition for good performance, helpful leadership, good work life balance, not too much micromanagement, team members are very helpful & teamwork is encouraged, good sales tools provided by the company (Salesforce - Zoominfo - sales Navigator etc), and I loved the customers I worked with.

Cons

Expected to get new sales & new opportunities from a module of accounts I had been working for a year and a half as if I was prospecting to new customers. (I had good relationships with 80% of my customers & the other 20% were still working with their original sales rep) It's impossible to hit the company's new opportunity and sales expectations with a module you have contacted every 30 days for over a year. I got to a point where most of my customers needs were taken care of, I was calling the same customers over and over every month, basically just to say hello, so without being assigned any new customers I was essentially set up to fail. I was also told in the beginning we would be assigned new accounts periodically as new customers were brought on board by the hunter sales reps in the field but that never happened. As an EAM at Comcast you are only as good as the module / customers you are assigned and the size / value of your module varies wildly between reps. I had one of the worst modules in my region in terms of account value and avg. company size compared to other EAM's (my accounts billed around 100k per month & the average billing for most EAM's was around 500k) The sales goals were geared towards reps with higher module values, so again I was set up to fail.. Also approx 60% of my customers were mom & pop shops with one low bandwidth fiber circuit so the opportunity for new sales or to add new sites was minimal with most of my module. Leadership shows favoritism towards employees they like better personally and accountability is applied inconsistently. Performance management plans are explained poorly and certain reps are only held accountable for poor performance in situations leadership wants to manage someone out to show leadership they are a tough manager and doing a good job by firing the low performers. People with the same performance are treated differently based on how much the leaders like you personally. Horrible project management, service delivery is extremely slow, and I spent a lot of time apologizing to customers that had to wait a year for their fiber circuit to be installed. My job description was to be an account manager which requires you to do some customer service for your customers while selling them new products, but we were treated like hunters and discouraged from doing any account maintenance
