      CISGA: Great experience to use as a stepping stone

      Pros

      Work-life balance is encouraged. Flexible schedule. Office environment between staff is welcoming. Great location and commute; easily accessible via public transportation and MARTA. The work is rewarding when you get to work with students and community partners.

      Cons

      Low salary for level of education. No potential for growth. Communication from upper management to staff could use some work to ensure everyone is on the same page. Little to no training received; new hire training seemed very rushed. Sometimes every department operates in their own bubble, collaboration between departments should be encouraged.

      Pros

      Does a lot of good in the Schools of Philadelphia. Lot's of learning opportunities here. Depending on what branch you are in they will pay for IT certifications

      Cons

      Unfortunately the position I was in was contracted by the School District of Phila so due to their budget problem there has been a few times I only received partial pay but then received the rest later. I also was furloughed due to the funding problems. Not very secure.
