Pros

Good colleagues to work with on the floor. Pay is decent for the industry. Good backup technology which is industry leading.

Cons

Culture has died off recently. Most people are concerned about offshoring and managent is too blind to notice. Poor work life balance, work through your lunch and overtime without pay. You will be made to feel bad if you work from home. Its all about you know to be recognised.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I encourage you to please come and have a chat with me directly, or have a chat with your manager if you are having any challenges with work/life integration. Our business in India has increased significantly, which is a great thing, with many new customers and GSIs being onboarded and joining our Commvault community. The India business hours straddle between our APAC and EMEA centers, based in Sydney and Reading, which results in a sub-optimal experience for our Indian based customers. In addition, the mismatched time zone alignment adds additional load for our support teams in both APAC & EMEA. Therefore, with the growth of the India market and our ongoing investment in our partners and GSIs, we have decided to invest in a local support presence in Bangalore, India. This new center will be tasked with servicing local India region volume, and not our broader global customer base. We currently have similar centers in both China (Beijing & Shanghai), and Japan (Tokyo), and see this as the optimal approach to providing a localized support experience within a global support model. This will also ease regional India based loading in our APAC and EMEA centers. Further, we are continuing to invest in our existing centers, and currently, have open engineer roles for our Sydney center which we are actively recruiting for. This is an exciting time for everyone at Commvault, with new opportunities and projects to get involved with. – Mark Schmidt (Regional VP, Customer Support, APAC)

Pros

Very capable product, licensing models have simplified greatly. Great support team, individuals on the ground care and want to support customers and grow the company.

Cons

Extremely Poor executive team. Company direction changes every 6 months (product messaging/alliances), even with the new management team who have now been in place for a year. Awful channel strategy, all talk no investment in people to support this. Direct marketing and lead generation is non-existent. Marketing in general has always been poorly invested in. Hevig acquisition has been poorly planned, still hasn’t been fully integrated into the frontline sales team. Senior EMEA/Regional leadership changes far too often. Nepotism an issue with new sales leadership, not to mention recent under-qualified hires in key leadership positions. Also recently enforced (US/Can) requested (EMEA) that all employees sacrifice 10% of their salary while the stock-based compensation of the leadership is unaffected, this from a company with $250m in the bank and no debt.

Pros

Great technology and a talented pool of employees.

Cons

I was at Commvault for a year. I joined a sales team of 6, only 1 original person remains, a long termer. My manager, his manager and the guy who referred me all gone. Via Linkedin over the last 6 months I see there is a steady flow of leavers, many key personnel. The culture is one of finger pointing and blame from the top. The issue is a business wide one. Attrition always exists in this industry, but I have never seen it this high. The constant revolving door policy says it all. Wake up Commvault.
