Great experience so far

Pros

- Beautiful office and decent pay for the area. - Opportunity to work closely with the senior management - Senior management is extremely motivated and that rubs on to the team - You report to managers who are themselves extremely technical and understand your work - Use of modern technologies and proactiveness to adapt, rather than stay stuck with legacy stuff. - On the whole, ideas are encouraged and if you show initiative, efforts are acknowledged. - Unlimited PTO is great. The justified use of it is obviously expected, but in general the company walks the talk when it comes to the policy and it’s not for namesake.

Cons

- Recent reorganization has led to an uncertain atmosphere and it’s a little demotivating - 401k plan should improve. The vesting schedule is wayyyy too stretched out for a meagre 2% company match - Very few social events for employees to unwind - Culture varies across departments which sometimes makes company social events awkward to attend

Commvault Response

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. I love that you called out that ideas are encouraged if you show initiative. This is an example of our people promise - the “Freedom to make an impact, together” - coming to life. We are in such an exciting time in Commvault’s history and watching our Vaulters come together and ‘play for the front of their jersey’ makes me very proud. Rapid change is all part of a thriving tech company and while the announcement of the Elliot investment did initially cause some uncertainty amongst employees I think that everyone understands by now what a unique position this puts us in. An investment of that size shows they see what we see: An opportunity to take what’s already great and make it even greater. We are acting on the feedback from our employees and the market and are now in full swing with our Commvault Advance transformation to simplify and scale, as laid out in the recent announcements of our new pricing and packaging and strengthening of our partner ecosystem. If you would like to discuss anything further, I encourage you to drop down and see me anytime – Jesper Helt – CHRO

Some of the most intelligent people

Pros

- Work with some of the most intelligent, innovative and motivated people - Leaders that really do care about their staff and focus very much on their team's development and personal trajectory - All the usual tech company benefits such as onsite gym, subsidized food, social activities, sports fields, open working environment, flexible working arrangements, health insurance and unlimited PTO. - High amount of responsibility and impact on department, company and own development. - Transparency and visibility right from the C-suite. Frequent communications, town-halls, all hands which allow for everyone across any function to be super close to senior leadership and very well informed.

Cons

- Typical hyper-growth pains, stretched for work-load, missing processes, rapid and constant change everything that you would expect in a tech company. - Not all managers and departments are created equal, sometimes the expectation is on you to be the change you want to see
