Constant Reorgs

Pros

The pay is good. Remote work is convenient. Heartwarming stories from the work in the field.

Cons

In Marketing: 4 reorgs in the past 2 years. Anticipating another round of layoffs in the new year 2024. There is NO process for anything and it's extremely hard to get work done. People are so protective that there is real issue with collaborating with other teams on assignments. It's an odd type of production line, where you do not get to own what you work on nor can you see the big picture. Overall, the structure of the teams makes the day-to-day work extremely unrewarding and complicated. People are getting increasingly grumpy. Its impossible to switch teams. There is little to no accountability for supervisors. HR does not help when there are issues. And the Christian culture is VERY conservative evangelical, and there just isn't room for anyone who doesn't perfectly fit into white evangelical culture.

Thank you so much for your posting. We acknowledge that change can be difficult. As we try to adapt to the growing and changing needs of those we serve, the desire to keep pace with that change can sometimes create tension. We hear your concerns and many of them are things we are addressing in our continual efforts to improve as a ministry. We appreciate your service to the children we serve!
