Pros

Your a cosultant. Not the same responsibility as being primary care or medical. Round and go

Cons

They make it very hard to leave if you want don't want to work for them. No support if its a challenging facility and most snfs have issues. Only can make additional money if you see 25-40. Even with a scribe charting is a challenge

Pros

I have worked with CRC for almost three years and it has been an amazing experience. The support, education, and fulfillment is hard to find in other positions. The company truly cares about their clinicians and goes above and beyond to make sure we are supported, from being available for clinical questions to providing education to further improve our practice. I did not have prior physiatry experience, however the training and onboarding process is extensive and really prepared me to provide the best care to my patients. We also have monthly didactics to keep us up-to-date on latest practice. An added bonus, we receive CEUs for our training! The virtual scribe has reduced the amount of time I am spending on my notes, therefore contributing to a great work-life balance. Additionally, the role itself is flexible. I am able to adjust my schedule and work around appointments and life itself. CRC is a company that is evolving and changing post-acute settings. My favorite part of the clinical role is seeing patients improve their function and mobility and are able to successfully discharge home to "get back" to their lives. The collaboration with the primary care team, nursing, therapy, and administration is crucial to the success of a patient and I truly feel like I am part of the team and making a difference.

Cons

SNF environment may not be for everybody, however CRC supports your transition into the facility. You don't start alone!

Pros

Flexible schedule. CRC has very friendly staff and always available to help or answer questions.

Cons

Charting takes most of the time of the job and is very complicated and so direct patient care becomes less important. The salary is low for the hours the job requires esp because of charting. They expect you to see at least 25 patients per day in order to get bonuses that will actually give you decent salary but their low RVU make this very difficult to achieve. They require providers to use dictation which does not function smoothly. The scribes take a minimum of 24 hours to return your notes and you are required to work this next day to finish charts. Often there are miscommunications and so what you think is done with the scribe is not done or maybe you forgot the assign a name or something, but they won't fix anything for you so you have to do that and then its another 24 hours until you can then again access your notes because they only work at night. Charting is a real headache! All of the editing-charting is free hand writing without any automated and check boxes. And in addition other teams review your charts and are very picky about the content so every note must be detailed and you will get emails and training that you must respond to about your charting and so the hours rack up and you feel your not getting well paid. Inflation is real but they give no raise!
