Pros

You get to gain experience in troubleshooting, and learn different techniques. Good experience for customer service. You get to meet people like you. Good money to start. That's...about.....it

Cons

I have been here almost 8 months, and have come to the conclusion that working here isn't really worth it. Here are some of my observations. 1. The current environment is that of a high school nature, nobody has enough respect for the place they work. Emails have been sent out because of someone trashing the bathrooms and drawing swastikas on the elevator. This place is multicultural and found it hypocritical that this would go on. It is extremely embarrassing that this goes on in a company in 2016, but then again the employees think they are in high school and act as such. 2. In training you be told that it is easy to move up in the company. This is an absolute lie, you are only promoted if management really "likes" you, and bases all their decisions on that particular premise, not in regards to education and experience. I was vetted multiple times for upper level positions, one was actually a serious position. I was heavily vetted for it, and they led me on to believe that I would get, suddenly they emailed me saying they want more "direct experience", this was for training, and I guess a Masters in college teaching isn't "direct" enough for them. What becomes of high school environment? High school common sense. Management makes it very obvious of the practice of favoritism and bias. If a concern is risen to management, nothing will be done, and they will lash out at you for doing the right thing. You learn pretty quick that leadership is pretty much all "buddy buddy" with each other, and if you aren't that to leadership, they will not promote you. My time was constantly wasted with them considering me for positions, played with me to believe I would get it, and then be shot down. This proves they want who will not challenge them and Bring new ideas. Leadership caters to the business immaturity of the company. They act with a reactionary nature instead of a proactive one, because although they may have tech certifications, the common sense is lacking. 3. This company is highly incestuous, there are employees there that are married, dating, or "seeing each other with others who work there. This adds to the drama that should not exist in a professional workplace, and you have to go to work watching those show affection for each other. This also brings conflict of interest, but it still goes on without a care.
