Pros

Depending on account and current attrition, there is opportunity for quick advancement. Benefits are OK

Cons

CompuCom is an Outsourced services for profit company. The technicians they supply to their customers is their product. As with all corporations they strive to minimize overhead while maximizing profits. Bring in new employees at bottom dollar with little to no chance of ever obtaining a non-advancement raise. Encourages mas overtime due to work load under the pretext of meeting performance expectations (SLA, SLO, Customer Satisfaction Ratings) but they do not ever want you to enter the OT on a timecard. Travel is out of pocket with the hope you will eventually be reimbursed. Corporate office believes all employees should work under Texas labor laws vs the laws of the state they live\work in. Execs blatantly abuse budget and expenses for personal gain. Seems to be encouraged.

Meh

Pros

My tenure with CompuCom started strong, but after a couple of years, meh. The benefits were actually ok. Many valuable discounts with various vendors and the health savings account is a brilliant way to pay for healthcare if you're relatively healthy like most people are.

Cons

Negotiate your best salary upfront because you'll be stuck with it for a long time. It was not unusual for people...particularly minorities...to be subjected to a hostile work environment. Unless you're a brown nosing pet pig, management can be very difficult for no reason. The organization was very flat. Additionally, there was no opportunity for training, development, or personal growth.
