Pros

Challenges within the company for other positions are available. You are able to switch teams/positions when requested and do something else. Your tests such as A+, Security+, Network+, and any other certificates are paid for.

Cons

Politics, favoritism, lack of transparency - there's a lot of secrets held between people regarding their jobs and positions. The Bentonville branch is kind of "off the radar" from corporate, so they get away with a lot more stuff. No local HR is a definite pitfall.

Pros

They can get workers fast for new accounts but once the deal is signed 10 people do the job of 25. If you choose CompuCom I wouldn't let them remove the old hardware keep that part in house or watch eBay.

Cons

Since the company gets sold so much no one stands by friends like they did in the past when Dam Brown was around. Forget about the Benefits with Compucom because Welfare is better the days of Blue Cross are gone and you pay over 20% are here and since you get a raise maybe 2% every few years just do what most do and let them pay for real training not the junk Stars center crap they have than join the account you are on.

Contractors and Recruiters Beware!

Pros

If you don't have recruiting experience, they will hire you. You can learn the basics of recruiting. You will receive good training. Not much is expected of recruiting. Fill a couple of positions a month and you are a rock star! That said - it is a great work life balance because of this.

Cons

It is All VMS business. Basically you are competing against 20 other agencies to submit resumes to several VMS's. It is not full lifecycle recruiting! This used to be the place experienced technical recruiters wanted to work. Now recruiters are hired with very little experience. The commission is a fraction of what recruiters made 4 - 6 years ago. Account Management can't bring in business and the ones who could are no longer here -that is another huge mistake by upper management. The departure of key employees who had been here for so long will and already is losing us money! Upper management is out of touch. There is so much overhead cost, it is impossible to compete and pay what the competitors can pay. Contractors!! Negotiate! We can and should pay you more. Candidates and contractors are not a priority - just #'s. Environment is full of drama. CompuCom has become a breeding ground for low talent recruiters. They could do so much more and go on to do great things, but this company will stunt their growth.
