Pros

Great first job in the field, PTO and Holiday hours’ structure and plenty of opportunities to transfer to many different accounts with in the company.

Cons

They set you up to fail, no prior training or guidelines on what you are suppose to do for the account in writing. No enforcement or backing from management when dealing with difficult users. No sense of company, you can't socialize with the customer and Compucom doesn't show any appreciation for your work. You're in this limbo state where your company doesn't consider you in anything and you’re not allowed to be considered for anything by the account you work for. They state that the company gives you great benefits, which is true if you live in Dallas, TX (not anywhere else). In my overall experience with this company, for a company that is suppose to give customer service they do not give you the tools or foundation required to perform that service. .

Pros

Flexible with time off / impromptu sick days. Co-workers are great when they last.

Cons

Basically everything else: Management seems disconnected with people who actually interface with clients. For instance, I am 100% sure my immediate supervisor knows nothing of my actual day to day activities, and would not be able to perform them him/herself. This company brings in associates on a contract to hire basis. The contract is a 3 month to full time conversion. However, this is a blatant lie, and conversions are stalled and delayed for various reason. Talking to several people who have worked at Compucom for more than a year; they stated that full time conversion usually took about 9 months. Never addressing concerns or issues within the company such as being understaffed on several accounts; causing SLA times to be breached over and over again. For example, they make workers permanently take over accounts without any kind of extra compensation. This is done under the guise of "Teamwork" , and " The economy is bad we need to help each other out". However when asked if the accounts will eventually be restaffed, management nods their head and says they are bringing more people on. This is a fallacy as many accounts had been understaffed for several months, and no job posting was ever found on the website or any other job search aggregators. Seems as if the Buck is just passed on to the next person.

Pros

US bank project Great team members, an honest attempt at showing moral boost when things started out slowly. Good amount of knowledge on team, and at times team members stepped up to help work heavy work load.

Cons

Extreme lack of direction. Refusal to actually hear, and I stress again: "Hear" what the technicians need to make for a more conducive work environment. Processes are extremely hodge podged, and everything is a complete mess! Techs are expected to clean up mess, adhere to broken processes, and learn there way through a broken environment, in which we are mostly in the dark about. 1.5 help, and call coordination help is almost nonexistent do in part to not enough employees to handle techs on US bank project. Also forced to work under hostile conditions with US bank IT employees who are in the process of being laid off.
