Working for a client, they do not want you to work overtime as to keep costs down. They do pay the allotted time and a half. not a bad company to start your career off with

Cons

No Career development if you are a mid-senior analyst you will never grow within the company. Poor integration when taking on outsourcing headcount

Pros

Good entry level opportunity to gain experience in IT. Training is available (via online courses) for those wishing to utilize it. Standard benefits, good amount of vacation days per year. * When I first started, another co-worker gave me the advice of saying to only stay for 1.5-2yrs tops to gain experience and then move on, I wish I had listened.

Cons

Compensation (often dependent on specific contract) is way sub par. Lots of turnover due to this. Managers often rely heavily on employees who have been on the contract for a while to pick up slack during periods of turn over and training of new employees but without any kind of additional compensation or recognition. Online training system is tedious, no compensation for self study and certification without using their system. Communication from account managers to workers is lacking, we were often the last to know about major changes that affected all of us.

Pros

They provide a work-at-home opportunity, which is fantastic. Although, having employees work from home saves Compucom money by not having to rent out office space, it's still a huge perk for the employees. The regular meetings and updates on what is going on in the contract are helpful.

Cons

A lot of the people that I work with have terrible people skills and it's frustrating that I'm grouped in together with them. They should hire more people, as we are really understaffed and it's very difficult to apply for days off.
