Pros

The management has as much enthusiasm for their job as you do for yours, and therefore will pay very little attention to your mistakes.

Cons

Very little room for advancement; they'd much rather just fire you and get a new worker. Company has not adapted at all to current work-from-home standards; servers were constantly down, very few people were on call at the night shift for major problems. Poor communication meant that we would field endless amounts of calls about a single problem, as we did not actually inform clients of any issues.

Our philosophy is to promote from within and provide opportunity for advancement whenever possible. We encourage cross training so that employees can support one another and experience mobility with their career. In addition, we fully embrace and implement work from home standards whenever project circumstances allow; many of our employees enjoy working on a fully remote or hybrid basis. In terms of communication, open and transparent communication are key components of our core values. Our leadership team models this behavior and expects the same of all employees. We appreciate your feedback. The ability to work remotely and obtain certifications are often highlighted as programs employees appreciate. In addition to certification classes and support, we offer thousands of free online training and development courses to all CTG employees so they may build up their skill set. Based on employee feedback we received in our recent Great Place to Work survey, we recently implemented new, clearly defined training paths for our service desk and help desk support teams. Employees can follow a training path and potentially earn certifications along the way to help generate opportunities for advancement and cross functional training. In terms of leadership, we feel our management team is profoundly connected to their employees and are in tune with their development goals. Managers adopt an open door communication policy and support an environment of collaboration and transparency. We appreciate your eight years of service to CTG and wish you the best of luck in the future.
