Pros

Concentra will provide great experience in dealing with unprofessional and horrible work culture. Many of the colleagues you have to manage are disrespectful and unmotivated. HR and leadership will never support you.

Cons

Every department in the company pays less and does not have a competitive salary. You are expected to meet metrics that are unobtainable because you are always managing a staff that is working short and burnt out. The staff is unmotivated because they know things will never change. It's really sad when your PRN colleagues barely want to work because of the company. PRN colleagues are tricked to working by themselves and many times asked to commute in the middle of a shift to another location with no mileage compensation. The company does not care about their employees nor their families. The turn over ratio is astronomical in every department i.e. Medical providers, medical staff, management, billing department, on boarding department, etc. Patient experience suffers because there are not enough employees to take care of them in an efficient manner. Patients are there for 4 to 5 hours just to see a doctor. The supporting medical staff is expected to do procedures outside of their training or scope of practice. Radiology Techs are expected to draw blood and medical assistants trained in xray for 6 weeks perform exams they ate not allowed to do! Concentra is a tragedy waiting to be discovered ,but already happening! !

Pros

I enjoyed working with my colleagues and enjoyed the atmosphere of team work and community. The clinic was also new with many up-to-date procedures and equipment.

Cons

Upper managment offered horrible treatment of employees, including too few providers on shift at a time, over working providers, low compensation and no promotions.

Pros

The patients are the only thing that kept me going.

Cons

Concentra only cares about numbers ($), not about patients or providers. The EMR drastically slows your ability to see patients, keeping them waiting up to 2-3 hours, all the while the daily numbers are constantly being announced in an effort to get more patients through the clinic. The executives spout off language that makes it sound like they are caring people, however their actions never align with this language. There is a huge turnover of providers at all levels, from medical assistants to specialists. The slow EMR and the extremely slow process of getting procedures approved keeps you from being able to provide your best care, and slows the recovery process of the patient. The oversight of providers by management not present in the clinic, or even in the state, is extremely frustrating. They are managing so many clinics and providers that they can't track who was informed of which changes, and when you don't comply with a change that was never told to you, you are reprimanded for it. Not only are you reprimanded for not knowing or doing something you weren't informed of, they will do it via email and CC at least 5 people in your clinic, as well as several others in the company. It's extremely demoralizing.
