As an account manager with Connection, you will have unlimited earning potential inclusive of a base salary, commissions, bonus opportunities and SPIFFs. There are the additional perks such as trips, gear, clothing and prizes you mentioned as well. While we offer over 300,000 products, there are a multitude of people resources and online tools to assist you with providing the right IT solutions to address your customers’ needs. While cold calling can be challenging for some, it is quite rewarding to cultivate relationships while providing unique solutions to an organization so it can be impactful to those entities who utilize its services. If you want to make a difference and in your words, have “lots of earning potential”, the account manager position can be rewarding.

Dedicated cafeteria space, 12 month training process, networking with vendors

Cons

Territories are a little picked over and you are stuck with your assigned territories 99% of the time, can't go after public sector clients and you find sometimes you end up treading on other AM's toes due to the wonky CRM

Our Master Data Management resources routinely deploy enhancements to minimize data redundancy to mitigate duplication of efforts. If there is a customer identified outside your portfolio that does not have an assigned Account Manager, you are encouraged to engage your Sales Manager or Sr. Sales Director to address the matter.
