Not for everyone

Pros

It's okay if you're on the right team with the right supervisors. If not, good luck. Okay healthcare and vacation time, some flexibility with personal time when you need it.

Cons

There's a lot of favoritism going on, and promotion to employees that don't pull their weight. Lack of recognition all around. Lack of professionalism from some of the higher ups. You are viewed as a number and are paid less than market value, despite high expectations. Would not recommend

It’s disappointing to see your experience with Connection was not favorable. Recognizing that each individual has unique needs, Connection offers work-life programs that empower employees to customize their benefit elections and manage their personal time off needs. We strive to be an employer of choice and emphasize respect, excellence, teamwork and integrity in our business and employment practices. Promotional opportunities are abundant at Connection. Our selection process involves evaluating an incumbent’s skills relative to the essential job functions. As a result, favoritism has no place in our hiring process. There are a number of avenues employed to recognize individual contributors and teams for their contributions to the organization. We expect all employees exercise professional decorum regardless of their title. It is pragmatic for an employer to set realistic and viable performance expectations for their employees. Our compensation packages are evaluated routinely and account for the labor markets where Connection employs talent. As a result, we believe our total rewards strategy is sound. At the end of the day, employees are encouraged to share their suggestions, compliments and/ or concerns with Human Resources via the means conducive to their personal preference. If an individual is more comfortable with providing anonymous feedback, we have a mechanism in place for those that prefer that route. Regardless of the path employed, know that we are listening.

Great Company - Rough Stretch

Pros

Love the company and the culture. Love who I work for and what I do.

Cons

This company is really struggling right now. From the top to the bottom, it just sucks the confidence out of you. Connection will come out of it - its foundation is just too strong not to - but in the meantime, its pretty rocky.

Pros

- The partner company I worked alongside for my vertical was great to work with - My manager was friendly

Cons

- Communication from my management to direct reports was inconsistent and rare at best - Managers you did not report to have the power to make your experience at Connection very unenjoyable - Despite growing my business unit a substantial amount over quota I was not paid what I was owed when they let me go - Offices are very outdated and make you feel like you're in the 90s - Micro-managing and required you to clock in like a retail employee for an professional IT sales job - Senior management force non-revenue driving activities to be paid by partner vendors regardless of actual value to growing pipeline/opportunities - Open door policy is a joke, there's no sense of confidentiality or trust
