Pros

Little turkey at TG for the meat eaters and C Suites serve you slop during the holidays in the cafe. We are the little piggies that feel most grateful.

Cons

Ok so as most have already stated Senior Management does nothing to promote women in any higher roles unless they are HR. This erp system causes so much stress that people that haven't been canned are leaving anyway despite Covid and less job opportunities. The Ohio warehouse is imploding and our sales people hate life. I was pressured to come in to the office too. It's passive aggressive suggestions mind you. Everyone seems upsets and lots of negativity. Gossip abounds which lowers morale.

Pros

Benefits are ok, but your not able to use them due to time spent working OT

Cons

No respect from management, Supervisors are pretty Understanding but all in all Management is very Childish and do not respect your views / recommendations about better improvements to the company and how it would help in the long run. They tell you that you “have a voice” in the company and “your opinions and recommendations matter to us” DONT BUY INTO IT. Multiple times I have been to management / HR with concerns or issues while dealing in the Lab, but nothing gets resolved they do not care about your personal concerns or issues in the work place. Connection also works an excess amount of Overtime, during my time here the employees worked on multiple occasions Monday through Friday 10 hours and Saturdays for 8 hours so if you are looking for little time at home and lots of time at work than I’d recommend the Job but if you have a family to care for this is not the place to be because you get zero time with your family. This Job has one of the worst, most unprofessional work environments I have ever been in and it is despicable and repulsive to work here. If you are in for dirty, repulsive, grotesque and vulgar jokes / comments then by all means work here but I do not recommend doing so.

Recognizing that each employee has individual preferences when it comes to their benefit elections, Connection has a suite of offerings. Our paid time off program provides employees with the flexibility to schedule and manage their personal time off needs. In order to meet the needs of the business, on rare occasion, overtime and weekend hours are mandated. We recognize the value of time away from work which is why we remain vigilant in forecasting and communicating the need for mandated overtime to afford ample notice to employees. Additionally, employees are provided the option to flex the overtime over the course of their work week. We will review staffing operations with the Distribution Center (DC) management to ensure they are appropriate to address the workload. In addition to achieving high standards of quality, Connection places a high priority on workplace safety. From strengthening skillsets to improving procedures, employees in the DC make valuable suggestions for continuous improvement. In addition to tactfully discussing areas for improvement, the Suggestion Connection forum seeks feedback and advice on this front. These efforts are a means to work cooperatively towards identifying, addressing and implementing the need for change. In addition to showing a sincere interest in employees and their solutions, our managers demonstrate high standards of professional conduct. Connection is committed to providing a work environment that employs professional decorum while promoting mutual respect. If any employee, customer, partner or guest’s experience contradicts that commitment, they are empowered to contact Human Resources.

Pros

Work from home, Felixble Schedule, Intelligent Peers, Ability to learn and collaborate, Tenured Sales Reps

Cons

No corporate credit cards! Have to from all money for travel. And to top it off Expense Reports are kicked back for the most. Insignificant things; which delays reminbursment and is a misuse of personnel time since every kick-back must go down the chain and back up; This could be fixed EASILy with corporate cards like most companies have; Easily match and validate funds within Concur / No SalesForce.com instead a super weak CRM that does not integrate Engineering efforts into sales visibility, a HUGE miss here for professional services injection / A seperate and very sad ticketing tool that does not tie into clothes sales reports that would be available and critical business intelligence from a real CRM / 360 feedback does not exist - zero way for review and provide feedback on our direct managers / Primitive PTO request process using a MS Word Document to email vs an intrenet site / Extremely and annoyingly frugal when it comes to funding for Certs and training / As an engineee we shiuld not have to beg for latested and greeatest gear and trainings to be competice / NO PTO CARRYOVER!

Thank you for sharing your sincere feedback. Connection’s credit card program functions as a reimbursement program. The majority of employees have commented that they value this methodology so they may personally reap the rewards offered by many financial institutions. Assuming an expense report is submitted timely, reimbursement can occur as soon as the employee’s next paycheck avoiding potential credit line or cash flow issues. As a publically traded company, it is paramount that expense reports be accurate as any inaccuracies or missing receipts can expose Connection to audit issues. We are very surprised by your comment that certifications are not encouraged and the company is frugal regarding their attainment. Connection is vested in our employees’ professional development. Certifications are necessary to expand our expertise so we can competently support the entire IT lifecycle. In our humble opinion, compared to other similar service organizations, we are quite liberal in our budgeting for training and certifications. We would suggest having a discussion with your manager or practice director regarding these concerns. In an effort to reduce redundancy and refresh business practices, we continue to invest in our infrastructure to provide tools to streamline our processes to elevate productivity. You are correct in your mention of the need for a more robust CRM though many enhancements have been made in the last several years to improve the capabilities of what is available. There are initiatives currently under way to improve and modernize a number of internal systems. Relative to HR enhancements, our automated earned time request process will remain unchanged, but employees will experience a robust dashboard where they will be able to view their benefit elections, PTO balances and earnings history in a single portal. There are situations where an employee is able to carryover PTO into the following year. For those employees who elect to not utilize their earned time, but do not want to “lose” their PTO benefit, they have the ability to donate their unused earned time to assist employees facing a serious medical illness for themselves or an immediate family member. We do thank you for your positive comments on the flexible work environment and the ability to work with experienced, capable colleagues and customer facing organizations. With the recent leadership and organizational changes within the services organization, we hope you see the efforts to break down any pre-existing silos and function as a single cohesive team. Collaboration is encouraged at Connection. As a team, we are able to drive innovation to achieve excellence in all aspects of our business.
