Pros

Intelligent people. Tenured sales teams.

Cons

Outdates business processes throughout the company. Many have been with the company a long time and are blind to how far behind Connection is in using technology to increase efficiencies. In fact business processes are so outdated it is embarrassing. An example being using a Microsoft Word template for travel and emailing for for approval. 15 years ago I was doing this on an intranet. We have to front all expenses when traveling using our personal credit cards.

In order to remain competitive from a business and talent acquisition perspective, it is critical to implement strategies to afford opportunities to thrive. You are spot on that we are surrounded by intelligent colleagues which provides a robust landscape to create efficiencies in our business practices. While we celebrate our decade average tenure, those with less tenure are on equal footing and have impactful contributions. 2018 will see new tools and processes so employees will work smarter and not harder. We are vested in providing our employees with the resources so employees can be effective in their respective positions. The current travel policy allows employees an opportunity to take advantage of the perks offered by credit card companies when they elect to use their personal lines of credit. Our expense reimbursement application affords employees swift replenishment given timely submission of expense reports. We value and celebrate our employees' contributions. As an example, Connection was pleased to disburse a $1,000 bonus for 2017 performance earlier this month. Trust that your contributions are recognized and contribute to our success.

Pros

Great people, some managers are good depending on the department, decent PTO...

Cons

No room for advancement, try to undercut competitors often to gain business and can be a bit unrealistic when trying to execute projects with such a low budget, under market value pay offered for most positions, benefits are mediocre, 401(k) match is a joke.

We agree that we are fortunate to be surrounded by great colleagues and a liberal PTO practice. We remain committed to our “total rewards” strategy of offering comprehensive benefits, competitive pay and professional development. Our flexible benefits program affords an employee the ability to make elections based on their personal needs. Being armed with the right information to make those decisions is critical. If the information on our intranet leaves you unresolved in your options, please contact a member of the Benefits team to discuss your particulars so you may maximize the benefits offered. Our compensation strategies includes an assessment of the labor market so we can attract and retain talent. We are of the opinion that our compensation plans are competitive in the markets that we serve. Whether by means of our formal succession program, participation in Connection University coursework and/ or partnering with your manager relative to career development, advancement opportunities do exist at Connection. You are encouraged to discuss your career aspirations with your manager. There are many strategies one can employ to win business. There are several benefits to serving as a one-stop shop for our customers’ IT needs. At the end of the day, employees are encouraged to profoundly impact the value of IT in an organization and create customers for life. Utilize us… we will continue to invest in you as our valued employee.

Pros

There are no pros to this company unless you are in management and reaping all of the rewards from the hard working slaves they have underneath them.

Cons

The management is terrible and they will work you like a slave. Do not work here unless you want to be driven to the point of exhaustion everyday like a hamster in a wheel. They don't care about their employees well being and will drive you out and turn against you at the first sign of cracking under the pressure.

We are sorry to hear your work experience at Connection and, in particular, the licensing operations specialist role was not to your liking. Your experience does not equate with what we hear by and large at Connection and certainly not within that organizational unit. The licensing operations management team actively engages the specialists for their feedback, encourages teamwork and recognizes specialists’ contributions. The complexity of licensing results in an environment that evolves with regularity. It’s a great opportunity for individuals who thrive on identifying, creating and executing process improvements. As a former licensing operations specialist, we wish you well in your future career endeavors.
