In addition to providing valuable psychological and physical benefits, a liberal paid time off program allows employees to manage their personal time off needs. Connection periodically examines the labor markets where we conduct business to ensure that our total rewards strategy remains competitive for prospective employees and retains our talent. While we do exercise an annual review cycle for our employees, we assess performance throughout the year with open employee communications. This presents an opportunity to establish clear and meaningful criteria to evaluate and acknowledge performance.

Pros

Great annual kickoff at the beginning of year. Gets you excited about adding value to clients.

Cons

Diversity issue. They do not listen to employees. Good old boy system on the enterprise team. This weakened my morale and made me intimidated and less effective at producing

Significant planning occurs for our annual kickoff as we want to provide our employees and partners a robust overview of the tactical action plan that will be employed to achieve our goals. Often well attended and received, the breakout sessions create a stimulating learning environment that capitalize on the diverse talents of the participants. We acknowledge that diversity and inclusion have an impact on company culture from attracting prospective employees to retaining talent. We believe we’ve built a corporate culture committed to excellence. Diversity provides a robust environment to create cohesive solutions while developing team momentum and harmony. We encourage open dialogue in the interest of achieving a mutual understanding whether through informal or formal means such as Glassdoor and employee surveys. In addition to providing positive reinforcement to achieve results, managers are encouraged to acknowledge employees’ contributions so they are aware of their importance to the organization. While you parted ways with Connection, we encourage any employee who has concerns about their experience to engage their Human Resources Business Partner so organizational harmony can continue to thrive.

Pros

They give you a base, but retrack $5,000.00 of it after 2 years

Cons

Company does not train very well. Scattered training. Supervisors have their pets and everyone else suffers. They don't care about you and your career growth only that you bring revenue into the pot. They are there for the dollars and they under mind anyone who challenges their authority. HR doesn't seem to get involved in the high turnover, so that makes me wonder where they stand. Management also has their picks. Very unorganized company!!!

Business Solutions and Public Sector Solutions Account Manager offers of employment have three components to the compensation: base salary, bonus and commissions/ spiffs. The base salary remains intact during the course of one’s employment in their respective segment. While management reserves the right to modify compensation plans with advanced notice, currently, there is no draw associated with compensation structure for account managers. Connection University is highly regarded internally and on social platforms, such as Glassdoor, so we are taken aback regarding your comment to the contrary about the company training initiatives. Blatant favoritism has no place in the workplace. You are encouraged to reach out to your HR business partner to review the particulars of your situation. HR and Sales Management are well aware of the cost of turnover inclusive of the ramifications to the employee population. To that end, a task force compromised of executive and middle management from HR, Sales and Training meet regularly to develop and execute strategies to improve employee retention. HR supports an environment that fosters well-being with an emphasis on positive morale and employee satisfaction. In order to have a robust employee population, it’s important to diversify versus simply hiring individuals with an IT background. Many account managers without an IT background have become very successful in our sales organization. System enhancements are under way which will improve efficiencies in the sales process. Our humble advice, stay engaged with Connection. We are invested in you!
