I love Connection, but I'd be lying if I didn't mention JDE. it has to be updated. It takes so long to maneuver it takes you away from more important work. We are a leader in IT but not in our own company. Updating JDE should be priority 1 in 2018. I also wish other depts would have the same goals as sales. We strive to take care of our customers and get them their products in a timely manner. Other depts strive to push back on sales. If you don't match your 19 notes exactly on licensing orders it will be put on hold. Then they will note and close case. If you don't go back and check your order several times a day it will not process. Advice to management please remind other depts that simple changes like capitalizing a letter on an order is ok.
Favoritism is a huge problem. When someone leaves accounts are given to reps that are the supervisors favorites. I think they should be divided up equally. If rep leaves 20 buying acounts, 17 shouldn't be given to the supervisors favorite. Especially if that rep is on a pip.
PIPS. There is no standard. You see reps that go on them after 3 months but then see reps who haven't made goal in 8 or 9 months with no PIP. We saw a rep taken of a PIP so she could go on the Achievers trip last year. You have to curb the favoritism. It is bad for moral.
Curb the sexism. Stop the boys club mentality. Male sales reps get all the leads and accounts handed to them. The majority of the successful women have found and developed their accounts on their own.
BDM. Please hire more! They are instrumental in developing our accounts. They are spread to thin. We need more and asap.
