Pros

With this job you get the ability to network well with other companies like HP, Dell, Apple, etc which provides invaluable sales experience

Cons

The company is old fashioned and not very transparent. They do not allow work at home privileges for all employees so it is frustrating during snow storms because they also do not close. They also have a 18 month non compete rule

Thank for your feedback on Glassdoor. As you mentioned, you do get to work with many leading technology companies. While not every role is conducive to working remotely, we continue to evaluate which roles can be considered for remote work as our business transforms. Your comment about staggering work hours to better service West Coast customers will be evaluated. We may be able to make some adjustment to your schedule if the West Coast is part of your territory. We recommend reaching out to your Site Director directly to discuss that schedule.

Pros

Financially stable company that supports career development.

Cons

Change comes very slowly. Back office systems are antiquated and we lagging behind competition when it comes to implementing new, more efficient ways of doing business.

Pros

Good training Office environment reasonable growth path competitive pay and benefits

Cons

Uses personality and other assessments which are highly discriminatory and rule out very qualified and hardworking candidates.Company hides behind supposed 'experts' that peddle these biased testing regimes. The fact that the company would prevent a good worker from coming on board shows their lack of humanity. I for one am telling everyone what a horrible management mentality this company has.

Thank you for pointing out the many positives in your review, such as good training, good growth path, and compensation. PC Connection does not depend on the Sales Assessment as the sole determinant in its hiring process; in fact it is not even the most important determinant as you allude. A candidate’s work history and questions centered around the ability to do the job in question are also key components in the selection process. It is worth noting however, that the Sales Assessment has been validated as a tool to utilize in the hiring process and the assessment we use for sales is very common and utilized by many Fortune 1000 Companies.
