Pros

I'm lucky enough to work across many groups within the organization, and I truly enjoy my coworkers. I respect the company's work in supporting diversity and inclusion through affinity groups.

Cons

I clearly joined the company at the wrong time. It's struggling due to poor financials, strong competitors and a few major organizational changes within a one-year timeframe. They are trying to go up-market via acquisitions but are struggling to integrate the technologies and move forward product-wise. Meanwhile, quality people are leaving, and teams are left with no budget, and no direction from senior leadership.

Cons

As soon as Endurance purchased the company, things went downhill fast. The customer support department was expected to start upselling additional products despite that not being a requirement in the interview process. This demoralizes the entire floor and two Senior Support Managers are unaware of the struggle this causes and don't care. Additionally, opportunities for advancement are not available to women and/or LGBTQ+ individuals. In fact, for the year and a half I worked there, every single supervisor hired was a straight white male. A few of those hired were completely incompetent and only got the position because their only competent competition were women. Finally, Constant Contact has only had one positive revenue quarter in the last five years. The one positive quarter they had was only because they sold SinglePlatform to Trip Advisor for over 50 million dollars. Do not work here if you can avoid it. It is not worth your time.

Pros

There are great people who work there. I truly enjoyed working with other employees and felt that CC had many smart, kind, and great individuals in Tier 1, 2 and 3 support, as well as dev.

Cons

The employees, particularly those working in support, are treated like machines. Breaks and lunches are monitored. Calls are monitored and criticized if they take more than about 8 or 9 minutes on average. Support staff are forced to shoe-horn up-sells into calls. The pay for the amount of work would make a plebeian laborer weep in pity if they witnessed the amount of grief given for the rate of pay. Others have mentioned that you have to be 'in' with someone to be considered for other jobs. There are plenty of opportunities, but the process is extremely frustrating if you don't have an 'in.'
