Pros

In working with the clients that Cornerstone Montgomery serves, I was able have a solid and lasting impact on the community. Every day was different as I was intellectually stimulated and encouraged to grow professionally. I received significant support from my supervisor and team and was excited to go to work most days.

Cons

There was not a ton of room to grow and direct service staff were severely under-compensated. At times the care coordination requirements made the position frustrating.

Great experience for a new person looking to get into a field after their Bachelor's. You'll meet some great people and learn things quickly. You'll have some stories and memories for the rest of your life.

Cons

Poor management and oversight. Unethical behaviors galore, including supervisors asking workers to do things that are outright wrong. Office culture varies widely if you're residential vs day program vs supported employment so interdisciplinary teams or even visiting a different location can feel foreign.
